PLAYERS: Mike Trout
TEAMS: Los Angeles Angels
I should be happy whenever the Angels win. Actually I should be ecstatic. But truth be told I’m more frustrated by the Angels road domination the last nine games. Like in need of Cialis frustrated. Too much? Where was this two months ago when it could have mattered? Where was this a month ago when they could have made some noise in the Wild Card race? Where was it? As recently as two weeks ago the Angels had the eighth worst record in baseball. That translates to the eighth pick in the draft next year. Now? They have the 13th worst record. Only the ten worst are protected. That protection is vital when you factor in the Angels’ free-spending ways. Maybe this offseason wont include as many purchases with a Visa Black Card. But do you trust this team to not spend money on Free Agents? Yeah. Me either. Now that you are sufficiently depressed let’s move on to how awesome Mike Trout is. He’s crazy awesome. Stupid awesome. Too awesome for the Angels to not at least open up talks with h...

Los Angeles Angels – Weekly Wrap

LA Angels (@Angels) Despite reports that the Angels will replace either manager Mike Scioscia or GM Jerry Dipoto, the club pulled off its first sweep since June against Seattle over the weekend. Although, the Angels’ season has been over for some time now but when the Halos play like they did on Thursday against the Rays, you have to wonder, is this type of performance what could...

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -- Garrett Richards worked around a career-high seven walks over five innings and Erick Aybar drove in four runs, helping the Los Angeles Angels beat the Tampa Bay Rays 11-2 on Monday night. Kyle Lohse looks to improve record against Angles

The Los Angeles Angels' last loss in Milwaukee came more than 16 years ago. Giving the ball to C.J. Wilson may just keep it that way. Unbeaten for nearly two months, Wilson looks to help the Angels beat the Brewers for an eighth straight meeting as the visitor Sunday. Los Angeles (62-72) hasn't lost in Milwaukee since May 11, 1997, when the Brewers were a member of the AL...

Richards walks but Angels roll, trounce Rays 11-2

The Angels are on a roll. A fun, enjoyable but ultimately meaningless roll. The bats stayed hot as the Angels got key contributions from different sources once again. This time it was Erick Aybar producing runs and making me forget what a terrible idea it is for him to be batting second. Even Peter Bourjos overcame his wrist problems enough to reach base three times. The real...

Angels find late success against Brewers in 5-3 win.

The Angels have capped off a marvelous road trip with a sweep of the Brewers, a swept that wouldn't have happened had it not been for one J.B Shuck and an expertly placed first base bag. C.J Wilson wasn't all too bad in his start, though he wasn't anything spectacular as he was able to barely make 6 innings while giving up 3 runs (2 earned). In a shocking turn of events...

Chopcast: Is Freddie Freeman a viable NL MVP candidate?

ATLANTA Criteria for the Most Valuable Player Award varies from person to person, voter to voter. Never was this more evident than in 2012 when Mike Trout and Miguel Cabrera both posted historic seasons in the American League one posting perhaps the greatest rookie season of all-time (and owning advanced metrics in the process), the other winning the first Triple Crown since...
