TEX – 200 000 000 – 2 – 6 – 0 STL – 201 020 10x – 6 – 7 – 1 After a dramatic season that saw them reach the playoffs thank to an improbable series of events on the season’s final day the St. Louis Cardinals exceeded all expectations win the eleventh World Series title in team history! The Cards were heavy underdogs in their NLDS against the Phillies but they notched the upset victory.  They then took care of the Brewers and finally the Rangers to win it all. Game Seven of the World Series was the only disappointing game of the best series we have seen in a decade.  The Rangers needed a spark to offset the tragic events of Thursday night and got it with two first inning runs.  A pick off of Ian Kinsler may have cost the Rangers a four or five run inning that could have altered the game.
