PHOENIX (AP) -- Patrick Corbin gave up just three hits in six innings and the Arizona Diamondbacks beat Clayton Kershaw and the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-0 on Friday night.
Kershaw (2-1) struck out nine, leaving him one shy of 1,000 for his career, but left trailing 1-0 after the Diamondbacks loaded the bases with one out in the eighth inning. Reliever Shawn Tolleson walked both batters he faced to bring in two runs.
Corbin (2-0) struck out four, walked three and hit a batter but kept the Dodgers at bay, and Brad Ziegler and David Hernandez each pitched a scoreless frame before J.J. Putz finished it for his second save in three tries.
The D-backs took a 1-0 lead in the fourth, getting the first run allowed by Kershaw in 20 innings to start the season.
Kershaw was charged with three runs on six hits in 7 13 innings as the Dodgers dropped the series opener a night after their bench-clearing brawl in San Diego resulted in an injury that will sideline starter Zack Greinke for eight week...

I don't know what to say, really, when it comes to the below.Except to say it's the most amazing thing ever, and I think Matt Kemp missed the point. Or he got the point exactly right. Video is even better. Although the added context isn't necessary, really. Just a few dudes dancing suggestively.
PHOENIX -- The Diamondbacks knew little about Dodgers left-hander Hyun-Jin Ryu before an introductory meeting Saturday, with manager Kirk Gibson calling the game a feeling-out process.
The D-backs felt a little too much of Ryu in the Dodgers 7-5 victory at Chase Field. He held them to three runs in six innings, struck out a career-high nine while commanding four pitches and even...
Dodgers slugger Matt Kemp has confronted San Diego's Carlos
Quentin as they were leaving Petco Park after the teams had a
bench-clearing brawl that left Los Angeles pitcher Zack Greinke
with a broken collarbone.
If Trevor Cahill is to continue his success against the Dodgers, he likely must pitch better than he has in his first two starts of 2013. The Diamondbacks right-hander looks to remain perfect against the Dodgers as he takes the mound in Sunday's decisive series finale.
Cahill (0-2, 5.91 ERA) is 4-0 with a 2.43 ERA in six starts against Los Angeles (7-4). Five of those outings...
A brawl between the Dodgers and Padres left high-priced pitcher Zack Greinke with a broken left collarbone.
Greinke, who signed a $147 million, six-year contract with Los Angeles last winter, was injured in a fight with San Diego slugger Carlos Quentin.
Quentin charged the mound after being hit by a pitch from Greinke, the 2009 AL Cy Young Award winner. Both benches emptied and...

The Dodgers and Padres didn’t just fight on the field Thursday, they also had some words after the game ended.
Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp, who was ejected for his role in the benches-clearing brawl, got into it with Carlos Quentin after the game. The confrontation reportedly occurred by the tunnel outside the locker rooms.
The Mighty 1090′s Marty Caswell says the two were...

The Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres had a heated affair last night in California after Carlos Quentin took exception to being plunked by Dodgers hurler Zack Greinke. Quentin charged the mound in the 6th inning after being struck in the left shoulder on a full count pitch while the Padres trailed the Dodgers 2-1 on the score board. That was the third time in his career...
Carlos Quentin has reason to think that his getting hit by a pitch was intentional. But Zack Greinke also has plenty of reason to prove it was not.
Either way, the benches emptied twice Thursday night for one of the biggest brawls in recent Major League Baseball history, with Greinke taking home a broken collarbone and Quentin finally relieving his aggression after getting plunked...
