For those that wish to enjoy MLB Extra Innings on DirecTV, it?s going to cost you more, prior subscriber, or not. A glance at DirecTV?s Extra Innings page with the newly released information shows that new or prior subscribers are offered four payments of $47.75, or $191. The offer is good until April 12. No information is available as to whether prices will increase after that date. Last year, costs were $169 for renewals and $179 for Early Bird new subscribers. The difference seems to be that HD offerings are rolled into the package, whether you wish to have the channels, or not. Last year, consumers had to purchase the Super Fan package for an extra $50 to gain access to HD offerings of MLB EI. DirecTV states that they will broadcast up to 80 games a week ? up to 40 in HD, providing they have the proper dish, receiver and ?HD Access? package, which is an extra $10 a month.
