Could the New York Yankees go after right-handed pitcher Brett Myers of the Houston Astros? A National League talent evaluator close to George A. King III of the New York Post thinks the Astros would consider a trade if the team falls out of it. “You haven't heard his name mentioned yet, but they need players and if they fall out of it I would assume they would listen on everybody,” the evaluator said. The Yankees are looking for staring arms to fill in the back-end of their rotation, and they got a first-hand look at Myers over the weekend. The right-hander has $11 million left on his two-year, $23 million contract that expires after this season. The Astros also hold a $13 million club option with a $3 million buyout for 2012.
