With a combined 178 losses over the past two seasons, the Chicago Cubs haven't treated their fans to much good baseball. The 2012 season is near and the roster hasn't improved. Second-year shortstop Starlin Castro should continue to pave his way to stardom, but he isn't a player that the average fan pays to see. The average baseball fan, and there are plenty of them in Chicago, goes to Cubs game for the ambiance of the second oldest stadium in Major League Baseball. They come to gather in the bleachers, drink beer and pay no attention to the actual baseball game.Wrigley Field, opened in 1914, has existed for nearly a century, two fewer years than Fenway Park in Boston. As one might think, vast improvements are necessary for a near century-old building.
