Another Cubs Blog:
The Cubs handed CC Sabathia his first loss in the NL and it was only the 2nd time the Brewers failed to win in a game he started. The other game the Brewers didn't win when he started was also against the Cubs back in July when the Cubs swept the Brewers in a 4-game series in Milwaukee.
Sportscenter just said that the final pitch to Fielder, a called 3rd strike was a high strike and shouldn't have been called. Really? Take a look.
Number 9 is the pitch in question. See those other red dots. Those are all pitches Fielder swung at. That's right. Fielder swung at every pitch higher than the called 3rd strike and that 3rd strike is a strike. Plain and simple. Most umpires may not call it, but it is a strike. Besides, when you swing at every pitch up there and then one comes in lower, what do you expect the umpire to do?
