Okay, admittedly I got carried away with the headline. David Weathers is no longer a Red, and he certainly had some good moments for our favorite team, so I guess I can start typing his full name out again.
Anyway, some items in the news:
–The Reds received an undisclosed amount of cash from the Brewers to complete the Aug. 9 trade for Weathers. My sources indicate the amount was $17.42, and Walt Jocketty has already spent it all at Skyline.
–Our buddy Shawn has relocated his Cincinnati Reds Blog; go check it out. Shawn has been blogging about the Reds longer than practically all of us. I guess that makes him one of the godfathers of the Reds blogosphere.
–Doug has some Pitch F/X data from the professional debuts of Mike Leake (1st round) and Brad Boxberger (1st/supplemental) in the Arizona Fall League a couple of days ago. I am a sucker for stuff like this.
–This weekend, Goodyear, AZ, and the Reds are celebrating the grand opening of the new spring trainin...
