The Hitters:
- Jermaine Curtis went 2-for-5 w/ 2 RBI, 2 R, and 1 BB from the lead off spot
- Matt Carpenter went 2-for-4 w/ 1 2B, 3 RBI, and 2 R
- Andrew Brown also had 1 2B in five plate appearances, they also included 2 RBI, 2 BB, and 1 R
- Chris Swauger had 2 singles in five at bats
- Xavier Scruggs went 2-for-5 w/ 1 3B, 3 RBI, and 1 R
- Daryl Jones went 2-for-5 w/ a 2B and 2 R
- Nick Derba went 2-for-3 w/ 2 RBI, 2 BB, and 3 R
- I have to admit, I have a man crush on Eric Hosmer, he went 2-for-5 w/ 1 HR, 2 RBI, and 1 R
The Pitchers:
- Not as exciting as the hitters
- Brian Broderick pitched well w/ 6.0 solid innings that included 5 H, 2 ER, and 5 K
- Blake King came in to get the one out save via a K but in between, Thomas Eager and Jason Buursma got lit up, Eager did K 3 in his 2.0 innings
