And that concludes Padres home games for 2012. It would have been nice to end the homestand on a high note, but I guess it just wasn't meant to be. Huston Street has not looked the same since coming back from the calf injury, and that was extremely apparent yesterday. He hadn't given up a home run all season until yesterday when he gave up two. This ultimately doomed the Padres and their chance to take a series from the Giants. Now we are off to a meaningless series in Milwaukee. Meaningless in terms of the standings, but there is one thing to watch. The first is the RBI race between Chase Headley and Ryan Braun. The Padres pitchers have a chance to help Headley out and make sure he wins that title. I don't know how the schedule makers choose the games, but it was as if they expected the Padres to be out of it this year.
