Last night Mets rookie pitcher Matt Harvey fanned seven San Francisco Giants in a game the Mets lost by a score of 4-1. The 23-year-old was coming off a performance in which he blew away 11 Arizona Diamondbacks in his major league debut, giving him 18 on the season to go with a 1-1 record and 1.59 ERA.

Despite a solid effort by Matt Harvey, the Mets combined sloppy defense and little run support to saddle their rookie with a loss as the Mets (50-54) fell to the Giants (56-47) by the score of 4-1 Tuesday night in San Francisco.
