21. Andrew McCutchen – Five-stat player that is still improving? Sign me up.
22. Curtis Granderson – Yes, I know he modified his swing which may be part of the reason for the spike in his HR/FB rate. It’s a pretty big spike though, so I’m not sure if he is going to hit much more than 30 HRs next year. However, I think the SBs are legit. He’ll easily steal 20 next year.
25. Mike Stanton – Love the potential, but let’s not go overboard here. He still needs to improve on the 27.5% K-rate. He plays in pitcher’s park which works against his biggest strength, his 40-HR power. Since he doesn’t steal bases and will never be a .300 hitter, he has to become a 40 HR hitter to be a top-25 player.
24. Tim Lincecum – Still young and has a wonderful track record.
25. Justin Verlander – I never understood why he doesn’t consistently dominate like he has this year. He had a similar year in 2009, but last year both his K/9 and BB/9 ratios
