In a word, "soft".As Scott Boras headed out the lobby in a tee-shirt and shorts for one assumes, a jog, the deals that have occurred this morning have been of a low-grade variety.The Brewers have reached a one-year contract with 3B Mike Lamb, and 13-year veteran Mark Lorretta signed a one-year contract of $1.4 million. The overriding theme here? One-year.By now, the word has been out that Francisco Rodriguez was not pleased to be offered a 2-year, $25 million deal by the Mets, with a third option year last night, only to hear that there is movement to add a third year to "sweeten" the deal. With a closer glut, and a steady stream of "it's the economy" rolling off the lips of GMs and execs, the notion of deals over 4-years may be a far-away dreamland for all but a handful of players.Here's a list of play...
