As the Biogenesis saga slogs on, Alex Rodriguez and his reps are seeking to make a deal with MLB instead of possibly facing a lifetime ban from baseball.  While this is not in the least shocking, it seems MLB wants to work out a deal with him as well.  One need look no further than the previous sentence to understand why baseball will never, ever be the same again.   Many tend to put the blame for the ruination of baseball on the players who are caught using.  It is easy to do.  I have even done it myself in the past.  This however is not the truth of the matter.  The truth is the ruination of baseball is the fault of Major League Baseball.  The players are just the vehicle by which they have completed the ruination.  MLB is responsible for what has happened here and given their willingness to give only the merest of lip service to how much they want the sport clean but in the back rooms work out deals with the players nothing will change.
