The Chicago White Sox went cold at the plate at an inopportune time. A return home to face the Minnesota Twins could help. The White Sox will try to avoid matching a season high with their fifth straight loss Monday night when they open a 10-game homestand against the Twins. Following a 1-6 road trip in which they dropped three of four at Baltimore and were swept by Detroit, the White Sox (72-61) return home tied with the Tigers atop the Central following a 4-2 loss Sunday night. Alejandro De Aza led off the game with a home run off Justin Verlander, but Chicago mustered just six hits the rest of the way - three in the ninth - and Delmon Young hit a tie-breaking, three-run shot off Chris Sale in the sixth.
