Every night, it seems like a different player is stepping up for the Red Sox. That’s probably because, other than Mike Napoli hitting all the time, that’s exactly what is happening.
A new cast of characters has joined the Sox lineup in 2013, and compared to what was left at the end of 2012, the difference is just about night and day in terms of performance. Guys like Shane Victorino, Daniel Nava and Mike Carp have come through for this year’s version of the team, taking the pressure of David Ortiz as he works his way back from injury.
