It's Always Sunny in Detroit:
Texas Rangers pitcher has been working on it for over three months. What he has called the worst mustache in baseball is gaining steam as the Rangers mascot for their 2011 World Series run.
It's taken over Rangers nation. Fans have started showing up to games with fake mustaches. Second baseman Ian Kinsler stroked it when he and Holland were shown on the big screen of the Dallas Stars home opener. TNT has done a little snippet on the Dutchstache - Derek Holland, get it? The mustache even has it's own Twitter account @Dutchstache.
He started it back in July and has vowed to continue growing until the Rangers season ends. The Tigers would be doing him a favor if Cabrera and Victor Martinez start hitting. The 25 year old Holland will start Game Two for the Rangers.

Derek Holland hit 96 MPH and sat at 94 MPH with his fastball during game two of the ALCS. That sort of velocity from a left-hander means he’s on the right track for future value. His problem Monday, and to some extent throughout the season, has been locating that fastball correctly. Perhaps the Dutch Stache should fall out of love with the high fastball again.
Going into the season...
Before every start, Derek Holland has a certain routine. He likes to have a nice dinner, followed by watching the same scenes from For Love of the Game, and then play a late-night hockey game on his Xbox. The day of his start, Holland shaves -- everything but his now well-known mustache - and listens to a set playlist.

The Rangers' Derek Holland
follows a unique pregame ritual whenever it is his turn to start.
Texas left-hander Derek Holland had just gotten out of the shower at home Sunday afternoon, and was about to make his usual pre-start shave, when the phone rang.
The Dutchstache was not mighty today. Perhaps Derek Holland partied a little too hard yesterday. Perhaps the extra day of rest threw him off. Whatever it was, he was not sharp. At all. And Eric Nadel even said Holland was perhaps a bit stubborn --- his fastball wasn't working, yet that's all he was throwing.
