It's hard for me to admit, Duaner Sanchez was one of my favorite players from the 2006 team and I've been rooting for him ever since to return. But after losing almost two years to an injury I just don't think he has the stamina to continue without taking a breather. When he pitches on back to back nights his velocity is noticeably down and then when he does take a couple days off he struggles with location and his off-speed pitches. He's only pitched 10 innings since the All-Star break and in his last three outings allowed runs to score. I think Duaner should be placed on the DL to rest his arm which would also make him eligible for the post season roster and if he can't make it back in time, at least he won't be ineffective in the pen and save his arm for next year.This would also give the team roster room, Brian Stokes has shown that he deserves a spot on the pitching staff.
