The Los Angeles Dodgers have acquired Juan Rivera from the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations, according to the Dodgers' official Twitter page.

To make room for Rivera, the team designated outfielder Marcus Thames for assignment.
