Tonight as I write this the Dodgers have lost 2 of the 3 games played with Chicago so far and have jumped out to a 5-0 lead tonight which if they win the game tonight will give them a 2-2 split with the Cubs.
So, we'll cover Dodgers news tonight as we await the outcome of this game.
First, Stults has been placed on the 15 day disabled list with a sprained thumb. In his place the Dodgers have called up Travis Schlichting a former 3rd baseman from Chatanooga where he has mowed down opposing batters mercilessly. A Right Handed relief specialist Travis has worked 13.2 innings allowing 1 run with 12 Ks and limiting opposing batters to a .146 BA. We shall be watching with deep interest to see how he does.
Since Manny has been gone the Dodgers have been 13-8 with his replacement Pierre hitting .394 with a .467 OBP with 9 SB since that time.
Blake has a sore right hamstring right now. He injured it in Friday's game and it kept him out of the game on Saturday. Lets hope he heals fast for the Dodgers definitely need him.
Kemp just homered in tonight's game to make it 6-0. :)
