In what is fast becoming a phenomenal season the Dodgers put up their third straight win by beating the Mets again last night 5-3. With 5 runs on 9 hits the Big Lumber was active with the leaders being;
Blake 2 runs,
Blake 2 hits,
Blake 3 RBIs,
Blake HR.
Casey Blake had a big night in leading the Dodgers to another win. If they keep this up it won't be long till fans are asking: Manny who? Although they struggle for a few games after Manny left they have since put it back into high gear and are rolling along with 3 straight wins and with 7 wins in their last ten games. This is a very talented team and it will go as far as the staff carries it, which appears early on that it could be a long ways.
In the field the Dodgers had a error on a throw by Furcal. They also turned a DP and had a pickoff.
On the mound the staff let up 3 runs on 6 hits with starter Billingsley 6-1 2.51 getting the win by going 6.1 innings while allowing 3 runs on 4 hits with 5 walks and 7 Ks. He was followed by Leach, Belisario, Wad and Broxton (who got his 10th save!) who shut out the Mets the rest of the way.
The win pushed the first place Dodgers to 28-13 .683 +7.5 and they play again tonight at 10:10 pm ET with the starters being Weaver 2-1 3.38 vs. Hernandez 3-1 5.59.

This team is now threatening to make the NL west race a runaway. With a 7.5 game lead it could prove to be interesting if they keep winning at this pace for the next few weeks or so,.Will it become a runaway? Give your opinion!!!
