The Los Angeles Dodgers looked to complete a three-game sweep of the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday afternoon, but Juan Uribe hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 10th to down the Boys in Blue, 4-2.
Giants starter Tim Lincecum tossed a dominant 8.2 innings for the Giants (62-52) against the visiting Dodgers (69-46) as the phenomenal right-hander struck out seven and allowed two runs on four hits.
Despite throwing 120 pitches and boasting a gaudy line, Lincecum left with nothing to show for it as the Dodgers never gave up and battled to tie the game in the top of the ninth.
Andre Ethier lashed a two-strike, two-out RBI single into right field to even the game at 2-2 and chase Lincecum from the mound.
Ethier, with a 2-for-4 effort today, is batting .367 (36-for-98) since July 19 and has 14 RBI in his past 13 games.
