The Los Angeles Dodgers will make a roster move prior to today’s series finale against the Atlanta Braves, placing left-handed starting pitcher Ted Lilly on the disabled list with stiffness in his neck, according to Eric Stephen of True Blue LA. Matt Magill will be recalled from Triple-A to make today’s start against the Braves. Manager Don Mattingly told reporters that the continued injury issues have become frustrating for everyone involved. "It's frustrating, for all of us. The biggest issue right now is we just don't know when this thing is going to pop up. He could be pitching on a Sunday and Saturday leaves the ballpark feeling fine, then he sleeps funny and comes in Sunday morning and can't turn his head," Mattingly said. "It's fairly regular that we're having something with him, and It's not his fault. His body is just not going right." This will be Lilly’s third stint on the disabled list this season, and Mattingly said the Dodgers are going to attempt to totally shut him down in order to see if complete rest can help alleviate the neck injury. When he hasn’t been on the DL, Lilly has made five starts for the Dodgers this season. Over 23 innings pitched, the 37-year-old has posted an ERA and WHIP of 5.09 and 1.609.
