Found July 07, 2013 on MLB Injury News:
The Dodgers, after acquiring Carlos Marmol, are still looking at relievers and a well known name to the NL West has shown up on their list of players they are interested in. Giants fans, you may cringe. The Dodgers are showing interest in free agent reliever Brian Wilson, according to David Vassegh of Fox Sports LA. While they are interested in Wilson, he hasn't pitched at all since having an injury that required Tommy John surgery. He will not pitch until he is fully healthy. Also, there is some more risk in Wilson. This was his second time having Tommy John surgery. Players that usually have Tommy John surgery once don't normally recover all the way, so expecting him to throw like he did in his dominant days with the Giants is unrealistic. While Brian Wilson is a big name, he certainly comes with an injury history. There is no guarantee that he even comes back. If he were to sign with a team, it would likely be on a minor-league deal with an opt-out clause in his deal. In Wilson's last full season with the Giants, which was in 2011, he went 6-4 with a 3.11 ERA and a 54/31 strikeout-to-walk ratio. While many remember him throwing in the mid to upper 90's in terms of velocity, expect him to throw in the low 90's. His velocity in 2012 was down from previous years as it was sitting anywhere from 92-94 MPH. While signing Wilson would be a risk, it is a high risk/high reward type of signing. If a team were to sign him to a minor-league deal, it wouldn't have any risk as then it would be a low risk/high reward type of signing. While nothing is official yet, it is good to see Brian 'The Beard' Wilson back in the game of baseball. Follow @mlbinjurynews Looking for fantasy baseball advice?

I can’t stop thinking about getting to Dodger Stadium & Los Angeles

Now that I’ve returned from out west and Las Vegas; it’s a new obsession I’m drawn to. My next trip out west is going to be to Los Angeles and Dodger Stadium, so I can cross the number one item off my bucket list. I want to see where this went down. When I get out there – and it will most likely be next summer – I want to go to two Dodgers games. I want to rent a car and...
