Well, we still don't have a National League champion after the Giants beat the Cardinals 6-1 last night. San Francisco used a fantastic start from Ryan Vogelsong and some timely hitting to keep the Cardinals at bay, and the National League will come down to game seven, tonight by the bay. -Giants 6, Cardinals 1 I'm sure that today you're going to see a lot of talk about each team's record in elimination games. The Cardinals went 6-0 in elimination games in 2011 and 2012 (so far), and will be looking to run that record to 7-0 with a win tonight. As for the Giants, well they're 5-0 just this season after falling down 2-0 to the Reds in the Division Series and 3-1 to the Cardinals in this LCS. The Giants missed the playoffs last season, and didn't face elimination at all during their 2010 World Championship run. Something's gotta give. Around the corner yesterday, you didn't miss much aside from the news that 18-year old Japanese pitcher Shoh...

Ryan Vogelsong has already had a career that is worthy of a movie script. Most folks already know the story of a guy who was originally drafted by the San Francisco Giants way back in 1998, was traded to the Pirates where he pitched four ineffective seasons with that team and saw his career come to a screeching halt after the 2006 season. One Win Away From The World Series

The Giants have forced a Game Seven, thanks to phenomenal starts from Barry Zito and Ryan Vogelsong.
