YouTube Former first overall draft pick Tim Beckham made a heck of a move behind home plate to put a run on the board for the Durham Bulls Friday night.  Teammate Cole Figueroa singled up in the middle and Beckham was not about to be denied as he tried to score from second base.  Scranton Wilkes-Barre’s Melky Mesa came up firing and threw a strike to catcher Jeff Farnham, who ended up looking like a poor linebacker trying to tackle Barry Sanders. Watch the incredible juke that Beckham made to elude the tag.  And kudos to the umpire who didn’t just assume that Beckham was out and allowed the cat and mouse game persist. Good baseball all around (except for Farnham catching the ball so far out in front of home plate). As the genius lacrosse coach in American Pie said, “You don’t score, until you score.”  Beckham scored.
