  • I realize that the Manager is the scapegoat when a situation like the Sox collapse, but really, did Francona pitch? Hit? Field? - the answer is absolutely NO!!! The problem with the Sox has been made painfully evident by yesterday's blowout of the Rangers by the Rays - PITCHING!!!! That is the Sox problem. Not hitting, not fielding, not the management - it was the lack of pitching, and if the Sox want to be a contender next year (and the following years), they had best get off their collective ---- and get some reliable, solid pitching. That being said, Sox hitters need only look in the mirror to see another reason for their Sept. swoon. Lack of aggression was obvious in many of those losses.
  • Pedroia and Ellsbury can't carry this team on their backs, there's only two of them.
