Early 2011 All-Disabled List Team

Despite it only being May 23, the 2011 Major League Baseball season has seen its share of movement on the disabled list. The flavor of the year in 2008 was the strained oblique. This year, it's the in thing to hurt your shoulder. The IASID baseball nerdbombers have compiled our Early 2011 All-Disabled List Team: C - Victor Martinez, Tigers - He spent April 19-May 3 on the DL with a strained groin. Luckily for him, the Tigers have Alex Avila behind the plate so V-Mart can stick to DHing. 1B - Kendry Morales - Angels - Morales still has not recovered from his walk-off grand slam leap onto home plate. His fractured fibula has prevented him from suiting up in 2011 and with surgery necessary, he'll be out until 2012. His next home run trot will definitely be a little less rowdy. 2B - Chase Utley, Phillies - Expected to be activated tomorrow, Utley has missed the first two months of the season with a bum knee.
