Do Red Sox have hidden gem in Pawtucket with Brandon Snyder?

Every year there are Major League Baseball teams that sign a bunch of veteran players to minor league deals and stick them away in Triple-A since there is no room on their current 24-man roster. This year, the Boston Red Sox signed former Baltimore Orioles and Texas Rangers utility player Brandon Snyder to a minor league deal on April 2 and since then, have gotten quality production...

A fan’s wish list: Boston Red Sox and the 2013 Draft

The last time the Boston Red Sox had a pick in the Top 10 was 1993. First pick in that draft was shortstop Alex Rodriguez (you’ve heard of him) by the Seattle Mariners, the easy No.1, even coming out of high school (he turned down playing shortstop and quarterback for the University of Miami). Following Rodriguez came five straight pitchers: two of whom suffered career-shortening...

The StealVery few Red Sox players can bridge the generations with their exploits—but Dave Roberts is one of them. He was at that magical moment in time when his singular achievement could make octogenarians and millennials weep together with joy. Red Sox Newcomers Not Awed by Boston-New York Rivalry Entering Series With Yankees (Video)

With the Yankees now nearing full strength and challenging the Red Sox for first place in the American League East, this weekend’s series in the Bronx has a lot more riding it than the first time these teams met on Opening Day. Lackey’s Contractual Quirk and Phillies Deals

John Lackey wasn’t at his best Wednesday night but he has pitched effectively for the Red Sox this season. Lackey, signed to a five-year, $82.5 million contract prior to the 2010 season, had a rocky start to his Boston tenure. After posting solid peripherals with poor run prevention marks in 2010, he posted a 6.41 ERA in 2011 before undergoing Tommy John surgery. He missed the...
