Alfonzo played in 13 games for the Mariners last season and he was 9 of 41 (.220 avg, .537 OPS) with 4 runs scored, 1 homer and 4 RBIs. He has now played in 168 games in parts of five years in the majors and he is 122 of 516 (.236 avg, .652 OPS) with 42 runs scored, 16 homers, 58 RBIs and 1 stolen base. Alfonzo is a hacker as he has whiffed 145 times while only walking 14 times so far in this major league career. Give Alfonzo’s agent credit for finding a team that Alfonzo can compete for a job for this spring.
