The Minnesota Twins used a 4-run 6th inning to beat the Red Sox 5-3 at Fenway Park and win the series 3 games to 1. For the first 8 batters, John Lackey had the Minnesota Twins completely baffled. He struck out the side in the top of the 1st inning and didn't allow a base runner until there were 2 outs in the top of the 3rd inning.
The Red Sox jumped out to an early 2-0 lead courtesy of a Dustin Pedroia RBI single in the bottom of the 3rd and another RBI single in the bottom of the 4th inning by Stephen Drew.
Minnesota finally broke through against Lackey (pictured) in the top of the 5th thanks to a pair of doubles. The real damage came an inning later when 4 unearned runs scored thanks in part to a questionable call at the plate on a no-tag call, a John Lackey error on a comebacker, and a 2-run homer by Oswaldo Arcia.
The loss went to Lackey whose record dropped to 1-2 but the fact is he pitched better than the score showed. He wen...
