Russell Martin and Matt Kemp to third and second, respectively, so when Wolf singled to right, both scored, assuring the pitcher of at least a no-decision.
That's all he got, too, as the game went to extras following a dazzling performance in the ninth by Jonathan Broxton, who mowed down Colorado's 4-5-6 batters on strikeouts. Joel Peralta, the former Angel, came out to pitch the bottom of the 11th, and continued until he gave up a leadoff single to Casey Blake — his first hit of the game — and Andre Ethier crushed one into the seats to end what was becoming an improbably long game (4:10, one of the longes...
