Masterful. Dominant. Overpowering. These are just a few words used by onlookers to describe Johnny Cueto's pitching prowess in 2011.
However, teammate Francisco Cordero may have put it best regarding Cueto in a statement made earlier this month, "He's amazing. Not only today but the whole year, since he came back from the DL. He's been doing everything he needs to do. He's been getting ahead of the hitters. He's been finishing the hitters. It's fun to watch."
Fun to watch indeed. The 25-year old Cueto has emerged as the teams' ace in only his fourth full season in the majors. In fact, one could make a legitimate case that the Dominican native has been the BEST pitcher in all of baseball this season -- a case that could be solidified if he were to win the most coveted award among all National League pitchers, the Cy Young Award.
But with that said, does Cueto realistically have a shot at winning baseball's top pitching ...
