Update from â€‹last week: Adam Wainwright continues to dominate this year. Jason Castro remains one of the few bright spots for the Houston Astros. Khris Davis has cooled off but remains a fantasy option since he continues to play every day. He has raw power. Matt Harvey will miss the rest of the season and possibly next year as well. Asdrubal Cabrera is still having a terrible year. Stay far away in non-keeper leagues. Jayson Heyward will miss the rest of the season with a fractured jaw. It was a frustrating year for Heyward and his fantasy owners. Dingers: Ricky Nolasco (P LAD) 68% owned in Yahoo! leagues – Nolasco has been an underrated acquisition for the Dodgers. He has been dominant since wearing Dodger blue. His numbers in August are: 5-0 35 K's, 6 BBs, 1.64 ERA. He’s the type of pitcher that you can count on in the fantasy playoffs right now. Salvador Perez (C KC) 67% owned in Yahoo! leagues – Perez is finally starting to catch fire. He has loads of potential and his numbers over the past week are outstanding: .407, 4 HRs, 11 RBI, .452 OBP. Add him in all leagues where he is available because he might win you a fantasy championship. Brandon Moss (1B/OF OAK) 52% owned in Yahoo! leagues – Moss has been on a tear lately and is one of the best waiver-wire pickups right now. He needs to be owned in more leagues, because he’s been carrying fantasy offenses right now. He has four homers, 11 RBI and a .368 average over the past week. Add him in all leagues and ride the streak while he’s hot. Stingers: Michael Young (1B/2B/3B LAD) 57% owned in Yahoo! leagues – Young was traded to the Dodgers and might not play every day now. He also only has eight homers all year and batting .276. You can do better in most leagues unless it’s a really deep league. He should not be starting in any fantasy lineups right now. Jeremy Hellickson (SP TB) 37% owned in Yahoo! leagues – It wasn’t too long ago that I recommended him for fantasy owners. Now he has been sent to the minors and probably won’t return this year. He was way too inconsistent this year and the Rays might trade him if they think they can get something for him. Move on. Ike Davis (1B NYM) 31% owned in Yahoo! leagues – Davis hasn’t been the same since the end of last season. He was sent to the minors. Then he returned and struggled. Then he got injured. His season is likely over due to an oblique injury. He was struggling all year and the Mets might have to move on next year. By: Joe Kleiber Twitter: @Chibeman
