He then went on to pitch two more scoreless innings, without allowing a single baserunner ( no walks, no hits)....So far this spring Figgy has pitched 10.1 combined innings ( spring training /WBC ) in which his ERA is 0.00. If the Mets decide to go with a traditional longman, with Tim Redding on the shelf and in the doghouse Figgy would immediately have to jump to the front of the pack.
