LAKELAND, Fla. Bruce Rondon remains a work in progress, as is the Tigers' bullpen.
In Saturday's game against the New York Yankees, Rondon came on in the eighth inning with a 9-4 lead.
After getting a pop-out, Rondon gave up a single to Juan Rivera and a two-run home run to Ben Francisco. Jayson Nix doubled and Rondon's wild pitch allowed him to take third. But Rondon...
Entering last season we were worried about Prince Fielder‘s home run total moving from Miller Park (142 park factor for homers) to Comerica (97). As expected, Fielder’s 30 homers were his lowest since hitting 28 in his rookie 2006 season. What wasn’t expected was exactly why he hit fewer homers. Yes, his HR/FB rate (17.9%) was [...]

The newest New York Yankee probably thought he had a home run to right field but the newest Tiger thought otherwise.
Torii Hunter displayed his nine-time Gold Glove skills in the third inning of Saturday's game, timing his leap just right and snagging the ball over the fence and bringing it back.
