The Marlins scored a season-high run total in topping the Cubs 13-3 Saturday. Mike Stanton belted two of the Marlins’ three homers, giving him 20 for the season and 42 for his young career. His combination of youth and power have him on an impressive list.
All-time, Stanton is tied for 17th with Adrian Beltre and Johnny Bench for most home runs before age 22. Stanton, who doesn’t turn 22 until November, has the rest of the season to inch up the following chart:
