Someone apparently got in Hanley Ramirez’s ear about the way he reacted to Jeff Conine’s insinuation that the Marlins might be better off without their superstar shortstop. Ramirez told The Miami Herald earlier this week that Conine was a chicken for making his feelings known on a radio show and not addressing him directly. He also said ultimately he planned to supplant Conine as Mr. Marlin. Via Twitter, Ramirez later said: “I’m sorry that Mr. Conine feels that way, and I admire him for all that he accomplished in his career. Proud to leave my skin on the field and the sweat on my uniform every night for my team as we pursue our winning goals. End of story, we have games to win!” He tweeted the same message in Spanish as well. A well thought out response, which unfortunately doesn’t have the same impact when delivered after he slammed Conine. Bottom line, both guys were out of line. Not saying Conine shouldn’t have honestly answered Dan Le B...
