Most people, even Philadelphia fans, probably don’t remember what Pedro Feliz did in the 2008 World Series for the Phillies. But it was Feliz who drove in the game-winning run in the seventh inning of the deciding game of the five-game series, scoring Eric Bruntlett with a base hit to center field. Feliz has now signed with the Camden Riversharks of the independent Atlantic League. Feliz is 36 years old and clearly trying to still hang on somewhere in professional baseball, after being released in spring training by the Kansas City Royals. Feliz signed a two-year, $8 million deal with the Phillies prior to the ’08 season. He was coming off four straight 20-homer seasons at the hot corner, all for the San Francisco Giants. For the Phillies, Feliz posted a slash line of .259/.306/.393 with an average of 13 home runs and 70 RBIs per year.
