Troy Glaus isn’t quite an ‘elite player’, but he did knock 145 homers from 1999-2002.  Not to mention a World Series MVP in 2002, and a couple Silver Slugger awards.  I’d say that’s a well above average 4-year start to one’s major league career, before the partially torn rotator cuff derailed him in...
