Zach Varce is junior rhp from the University of Portland. He is 6-0/190 pounds and hails from Seattle. Last year for Portland, he went 3-5, with a 2.69 era in 60 innings. He saved 9 games, walked 23 and struck out 62 batters.He spent this past summer playing for the Green Bay Bullfrogs of the Northwoods League. He was simply one of the best pitchers in the league.
