The No. 4 ranked Louisville Cardinal Baseball program will have their first home game of the season at 3 PM in the newly renovated Jim Patterson Stadium. Dan McDonnell’s club will take on the Eastern Kentucky Colonels in the first of an eight game home stretch. Admission is free to the public. The Cardinal nine are 2-1 this season with wins over Purdue and South Florida. They only loss came against Indiana. EKU is 1-2 thus far after win just one game in a series with Charlestown Southern. This is the 109th all time meeting between Louisville and Eastern Kentucky. Junior right handed pitcher Dace Kime will get his start of the season for the Cards. Fellow junior right-handed pitcher Jeff Thompson was named Big East Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 18 following his dominant performance against South Florida.
