Luis Sojo was the second most famous short stop to arrive in New York in 1996. The new Yankees shortstop had stops in Toronto, California and Seattle before coming to New York. The Yankees were a little higher on the young rookie, Derek Jeter, so they moved Sojo to second, where he became a regular there for a brief period. For a more or less effective, if not spectacular career, his Wikipedia page should have, perhaps, been a bland assortment of statistics, but his time in New York meant he was the focus of a lot of eyes for more than half a decade has led to an interesting and perhaps somewhat editorialized entry.
