Jimmy Rollins was looking out at the flags waving above Ashburn Alley at Citizens Bank Park recently when he noticed something interesting. There were World Series pennants, National League flags and National League East ones, too.

But something was missing.

"This year we're trying to do something that we've never done and that's win a wild card," Rollins said. "We've gotten in other wins and we have a lot of flags hanging up. But we don't have a wild card flag, so it would be a good time to get one."

The Philadelphia Phillies, who have won five straight division titles, will take what they can get. After dropping their first game after the All-Star nreak, falling a season-high 14 games under .500, they slowly crawled out of last place and back into contention.

Rollins went 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI and three runs to help propel the Phillies to a 9-7 win, extending a season-high tying six-game win streak. The Phils (71-71) are at the .500 mark for the first time since June 4.

"Being .500 has never made so much noise around here," Rollins said. "But I'm glad that it can."

The Phillies, sellers at the trade deadline, moving Hunter Pence, Shane Victorino and Joe Blanton out west, have won 14 of their last 18. They are four games back of the St. Louis Cardinals in the race for the National League's second wild card.

After spending the majority of the season in last place, do they have a chance to grab a postseason berth with 20 games remaining?

"I think when things are going well, you don't mess with them," said right-hander Roy Halladay, who is superstitiousd. "We've been playing well, not really worrying about that. I think that's what we need to do. Obviously, all of us want to be there and we want to give ourselves a chance to make it close. But I think the reason we've got to that point is we've kind of just gone out and been playing, we haven't worried about it. I think that's something we have to keep going."
