Damn, that was one helluva f'ugly game. How f'ugly was it?
*The Mets scored 8 runs on only 5 hits.
*One error, two error, three error, four! Allow me to put that into perspective- 7 teams haven't committed that many errors all season, and the Phils stellar defense has now made 4 blunders in a game twice in this young season. Currently pacing the Majors with 13 errors and a breathtaking .962 fielding percentage.
*Aerosmith were working overtime last night as Kyle Kendrick walked 6 batters and the bullpen bumped the total up to 9. On the season the Phils pitching staff has now issued 41 walks compared to 43 strikeouts...f'ugly!!!
*Speaking of Kendrick, he's been a complete and utter disappoint thus far- 2 starts, 7.1 ip, 12 h, 8 bb, 1 k, 6.14 era, and 2.73 whip. That's not going to get it done.
*Shane Victorino (.162), Ryan Howard (.188), and Carlos Ruiz's (.185) batting averages are so ugly that No-Hit Nunez is laughing at them.
