Pirates (8-11) at Braves (13-7) 7:10 PM EST–Turner Field, Atlanta Here is the MLB.com Gameday TV: ROOT Sports The Bucs and Braves will be back in action tonight for game 2 of a four game set in Atlanta. If you’re looking for some Pirates talk before the game, check out Episode 11 of our podcast. Tonight’s starters… Erik Bedard (0-4, 2.63) vs. Randall Delgado (2-1, 5.74) Bedard has ended up with a loss in all four of his starts despite pitching pretty well each time. He hasn’t matched his strong Opening Day performance, but has still been solid and certainly doesn’t deserve to be 0-4. Last time out, he struggled early but got things together and managed  to go 7 innings against the Cards. Delgado made seven starts for Atlanta last year and has made three so far this year. He’s been OK, but hasn’t made it past 5.1 innings so far this season. The Bucs need to find a way to make some noise against him.  Braves vs. Bedard: PA AB H 2B 3B HR RBI BB SO BA OBP SLG ...

Hudson's solid return leads Braves to win

Tim Hudson's fastball wasn't great. His sinker sometimes stunk. His cutter didn't always do what he wanted. None of that mattered on Sunday. It was a great day for Hudson. Seven months to the day after his last big league start which ended in a season-ending loss to the Phillies -- and five months after back surgery, Hudson returned to a big league mound. It wasn...

Delgado, Braves struggle in loss to Pirates

ATLANTA (AP) -- Streaking Alex Presley helped the Pirates finally provide tough-luck starter Erik Bedard some support and the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Atlanta Braves 4-2 on Saturday night. Presley had two hits to extend his career-best hitting streak to 12 games. He scored two runs and drove in a run with a double. Pedro Alvarez also had a run-scoring double. Bedard (1-4) gave...

Braves All-Star catcher Brian McCann is not starting against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Saturday night but is available for emergency duty one day after straining a muscle in his right side. McCann said his side feels ''a lot better than I thought'' when he left Friday night's game in the fifth inning. He says he hopes to start Monday. David Ross is starting...

Game 21: Braves 4 Pirates 3

I'm not even sure where to start handing out blame for this one. Kevin Correia was pretty awful today; he couldn't get out of the fifth inning, he walked five hitters, and he struck out no one. He was the picture of a guy that couldn't fool anyone. Braves hitters just stood in against him and took their hacks until he either walked them or they hit a ball hard. It'...
