Jason Giambi came out and said that Major League Baseball needs to apologize to the American public for the current steroid problem.
"Steroids and all of that was a part of history. But it was a topic that everybody wanted to avoid. Nobody wanted to talk about it," said Giambi who admitted in 2003 that he had used performance inhancers in his career.
In an interesting twist, Giambi said that even with the HGH and steroids that he admits to using, the substances did nothing by way of helping him hit home runs. "That stuff didn't help me hit home runs. I don't care what people say, nothing is going to give you that gift of hitting a baseball."

It is sad that 'roids and such have been a part of the game for so long. Before 'roids it was greenies, and before that...who knows? The thing is performance enhancers are a part of sports, not just baseball, baseball just got universally busted. We dont care if two steroid babies kill each other in a ring or on the gridiron, but dont hit my curve 500 ft.
