In a matchup of former Cy Young award winners Wednesday at AT&T park, R.A. Dickey out-dueled Barry Zito as the Giants split the rare two-game homestand with the Blue Jays. San Francisco had trouble with Dickey’s knuckleball all afternoon, and managed just two hits in the game as they were shutout 4-0. “He had a good one today, it was moving and we couldn’t do much with it,” said Bruce Bochy on Dickey, who had a one-hitter going into the ninth inning. “It just drops out of the air. He throws it a few different speeds, it’s tough to gauge,” said Zito on facing Dickey’s dancing rotation-less pitch. The Giants had won the game in Zito’s previous 14 starts at home, but a four-run fifth inning spurred by an RBI double by Dickey was all the Blue Jays needed to end that streak. “The fifth inning was the achilles heel for me today, not being able to limit the damage,” said Zito.
