Tim Lincecum struck out eight in his fourth consecutive quality start, but it wasn’t enough as the Miami Marlins beat the San Francisco Giants 6-3 on Friday night. There have already been reports of the Marlins beginning to shop Ricky Nolasco, but if he was auditioning for a spot in the Giants rotation, it didn’t go too well. After going 4-0 with an 0.87 ERA in his four starts in San Francisco, Nolasco allowed three runs, nine hits, two walks and just one strikeout on Friday night. Nolasco was taken out of the game after giving up a triple to Tim Lincecum. You read that correctly. Lincecum boosted his batting average to a whole .077 with the shot to Triples Alley. Surprisingly, Lincecum actually has one other triple in his career, from July 13, 2008 against the Chicago Cubs. “I just put a bat on it to put it in the place it needed to be,” said Lincecum.
