Tom Glavine was always a class act, sure his yearly indecision between New York and Atlanta was fustrating but Glav. was solid on and off the field. I happened to attend a game in late August of 2007 where he took a perfect game into the 7th and what a treat it was to see a glimpse of what he was in his prime ( never had the chance to see him in person during his younger years). I'm glad he spent a few years with us and broke 300 wins in a Mets uniform. After going some many years without a significant injury he missed most of last year and now the road back doesn't seem so easy, Glav says if he isn't feeling better soon he may hang it up ( what a pitching coach).......Tom Glavine said Tuesday that he may retire if his sore left shoulder doesn't improve with two weeks rest."I'm willing to put in a little more time but I'm not willing to put in another six weeks or eight weeks because by then, you know what, I'm going to have to start all over agai...
